If a person said you were a unicorn, would that make you a unicorn?
If you looked on the Internet and saw you shared some qualities with a unicorn, would that make you a unicorn?
If all the kids in school called you a unicorn and made fun of you, would that make you a unicorn?
If the entire world thought you were a unicorn, would that make you a unicorn?
If you really really believed deep down you were a unicorn, would that make you a unicorn?
The answer is obviously no, No and NO to all these questions. (It seems stupid even stating this.)
…but if it’s so stupid, why do we answer yes when it comes to believing we are a loser? (or its many derivations: slut, retard, not good enough…) We then live our entire lives trying hard not be a loser or look like one, stressing ourselves out and limiting our lives.
Like the unicorn, a loser is something made up. It does not exist in reality. There is no universally agreed upon definition of a loser. You won’t find it in a science textbook. Try drawing one while playing Pictionary and you’ll have a tough (you’ll have more success with the unicorn).
It’s not something to believe; it’s a fact. You can’t stop trying not to be because you aren’t.
You are not a loser, never were one and never will be one, just like you are not a unicorn, never were a unicorn and never will be a unicorn.
So go out there and let your energy and light shine and inspire the world!
Like a unicorn.
